January 2009 Newsletter
Greetings in Jesus Name,
God is good and His love endures forever. We have been blessed this trimester at the Bible School as the students and we continue to dig into God’s Word and learn more about His character and try to apply His principles in our lives. We have been studying Acts, Missiology, the Pauline Epistles, and African Traditional Religion. Eric has been edified as he searches the scriptures in preparation to teach the classes. Cindy has been a good participant in the classes as well.
We had a few new students come for classes this trimester, but unfortunately the turnout was not as good as we had hoped. We invested significant funds into advertising in an attempt to jumpstart things. But we didn’t get a good return. Uzomah and Eric continue to speak in Churches whenever possible to share the vision. But the future of the school looks bleak.
Cindy and Eric and the CBS staff are not discouraged. We know that when God closes a door that he opens another. One thing about Africa is that there are always many open doors. We continue to pray for the current students and the future of the school and we do our best to listen to Him.
We are in the process of acquiring our airline tickets for our return trip to the USA in April. We are hoping that our next leg in Africa will be 2 or more years before returning, so this time we are trying to visit as many of you as possible. We will keep you all informed of our itinerary as it continues to develop. I am linking a map with tentative dates. If you wish for us to visit you and we haven’t contacted you yet, please let us know.
Thank you all for your faithful prayers and support. You are truly a participant in what God is doing on this continent. Let us all continue to declare the wonders of God wherever we can!
