August 2008

Things are going well for us here in Aba .  It has been pretty quiet since the team from Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle went home.  Recently, the Bible School students took their final exams for the year.  They will commence classes next month.  I have seized the opportunity to spend more personal time with the Lord and continue with other awaited studies.

Cindy and I celebrated our 15th year anniversary.  Hannah took charge of the other 4 children while Cindy and I went to Crunchies, the local version of KFC.  They didn’t have electricity that day to keep the food warm, so our chicken was cold and dry, but it didn’t spoil our date.  Afterwards, we went to the market and picked out some nice Nigerian fabric to have a new dress made for Cindy.

Please pray for

  • Our health.  The last few weeks have been hard for the whole family.  I have recovered from my bout with malaria just in time to catch the cough that the rest of the family has been suffering from
  • A good working relationship with our new house help that will hopefully alleviate some of the burden from Cindy and children.
  • The upcoming year for the Bible School
